I'm not sure that this is the appropriate place for this posting but we are seeking a "working partner" at our Resort in Belize. It's a job but it is one that you make for yourself in the sense that we are willing to offer our place to some one who wants to live in Belize and grow this business to the point where it starts making a profit again. You would need a retirement income to rely on while building the business and a moderate investment would be preferable.

I suggest you go to our website at www.iguanacreek.com - you can look under "about us" and see our family.
Our situation is that we're just getting older (almost 70) and are tired of the back and forth. We have ten children, and 10 grandchildren and counting and last year the family had a wedding, two births, two graduations, two  divorces, a relocation of one daughter from Phoenix to Washington and  several other most important things in the world sporting events and scouting events and on & on.
Truth is we just shut it down every  time we go back.  It's not really closed -closed -  we just had a couple as tourists this week - but we have been going back and forth every two months and just locking it up when I leave. I have caretakers but they can't handle a tourist. So we come down if we have a definite booking and do some work on it here and there. Hurricane Richard threw a tree on one of our cabanas and smushed it. I've fixed the wall but need to put a roof on it - probably cost like $700 US to finish repairing it and we're constantly doing repairs and building - I enjoy that stuff.

But in reality - we know that we must have new Blood come in - There is a lot  of potential in the place. The Resort sits on 1.2 acres but we own over 500 acres all around it and have done some subdivision and sold some lots in a proposed "gated community" that we're putting together. There are two other such subdivisions near here and those are selling 5 acre Hilltops for 60K - 100 K and on the River - House Lots for $50K - 75K with only $175-200K homes on them. That is the only thing really selling down here just now. We have River Frontage as well as  Jungle and 100 acres of flatlands with our Cattle and Horses on it.
So I'm not a big operator anymore. Used to be but now just kinda retired and looking to sell this or find  a suitable "working partner".
